The Crown Chakra (Sahasrara)

Finally we come to the Crown Chakra, or Sahasrara. Here we reach a deep connection with our higher consciousness and inner knowing, achieving oneness and unity. Letting go of attachments and control, releasing earthly karma, and enjoying life as it is. This allows a peaceful, graceful transition in to the best version of life you can experience. Understanding that we are all simply energetic beings experiencing a human life.

Location: Top of the head

Color: Violet, Gold, or White

“I Know”

A balanced Crown chakra: Broad understanding and an open mind. Awareness of the connection with all other living things/beings. Ability to recognize negative thought and behavioral patterns and release them gracefully.

Excessive characteristics: Over intellectual, confusion, dissociation

Deficient characteristics: Will be excessive in lower chakras - materialism, greed, dominance. Skeptical of spiritual ideas, limited beliefs.

Methods to balance the Crown Chakra:

Ancestral and Inner Child Healing

Mindful Meditation, Tai Chi, Yoga

Journaling to reflect on your thought patterns

Learning and studying new things

Examine belief system and thought patterns

Chanting, Using singing bowls or meditation drums

Crystals: Amethyst, Clear Quartz

Oils to diffuse: Myrrh, Frankincense, Sandalwood, Cedarwood, Ylang-Ylang

Affirmations:

“I release thoughts that limit my highest potential”

"I am connected to the universe. We are all one."

“I observe and feel the divine presence within and around me”

“I surrender my fears and concerns. I am loved and protected by a higher power”

“All beings are divine”

Meditation is the most common method to balance this Chakra. Take some time outside in the am if possible to meditate. Or visual white or purple light entering through your root chakra up to your crown.

I'm so happy to be able to use my experience to help others going through the same! I offer Reiki and private online yoga sessions, recorded classes, and so much more!
